Concise syntheses of (+)-and (-)-methylenolactocins and phaseolinic acids

Abstract (+)- and (−)-Methylenolactocins and phaseolinic acids are synthesized in four steps via asymmetric syn- and anti- aldol reactions of chiral N -succinyl-2-oxazolidinones using the same set of reagents.
