Synthesis of a cam-differential mechanism with periodic dwell of the output link

Abstract The paper presents the results of research, the aim of which is to create the basis of cam-and-differential mechanism synthesis, which will produce a lond dwell period of the output link within the limits of each cycle. The analytical terms and graphs for realization of such a mechanism are developed. The limiting pressure angle which is permitted at the specified limits is given. The mechanism was designed for use in a cold-rolling mill for steel tubing.
