A public health focus on infertility prevention, detection and management: executive summary

This article summarizes findings and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-wide Infertility Working Group. It describes infertility as a public health concern, describes surveillance, research, and prevention activities at the CDC, and proposes topics for discussion in a broad forum to develop a national public health plan for the prevention, detection, and management of infertility.
