SMART BUS TRACKING SYSTEM

The major problems that passengers face with city buses are inaccurate bus timings, not knowing the details like exact bus route numbers, the current location of the bus, when the bus will reach their destination, and the number of passengers in the bus. If a passenger has this information, they will be able to reach their destination on time. So, Smart Bus Tracking System provides the passengers with that information. This system has a GPS module on the bus which is used to locate the bus and calculate the speed of the bus. With the above details, the arrival time of the bus and the time of reaching the destination can be calculated. Also, there is an IoT module interconnected with the GPS module that uploads the data to the cloud in a repetitive manner. The number of passengers inside the bus is calculated with the help of the data from the ticketing machine carried by the conductor. These data are periodically updated to the database. So, when the user enters a bus route in the android application it will provide them with the complete information on the bus. This will help passengers to reach their destination on time and also it helps to reduce the population inside the bus.
