Development of a Rotating Endothelial Cell Culture Device

2018
The mechanism of endothelial cell culture in vitro to explore the formation of atherosclerosis has been widely used. Whether monolayer endothelial cells formed in vitro can resist the impact of blood flow and how to achieve uniform distribution and growth of cells is the key point in the study problem. In response to the above problems, this device has been developed. To develop a cell culture device that could provide the three-dimensional environment of cell growth, realize growth stick to silicon chamber and improve the uneven distribution of cells. It introduced structure and functions of the device from controlled unit, mechanical unit and cells culture unit, and then used it to carry out an umbilical vein endothelial cells culture experiment. Rotary endothelial cell culture equipment provided certain conditions for cell metabolism, and the cells cultured by the device could adhere well to grow evenly. The endothelial cells cultured in a rotating three-dimensional cell culture device grow well adherently, which provides a possibility for the study of atherosclerotic diseases by culturing endothelial cells in vitro.
