Mapping of Research Productivity in Periyar University and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University: A Scientometric Study

This article discusses about the mapping of research productivity in Periyar University and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. This study only focus from 2004 to 2015 period and the data are collected from Indian Citation Index database. During the study period 940 articles were published. In the year 2004, 26(2.77%) articles were published by two universities. But the maximum number of articles-151 (16.06%) were published in the year 2011. Totally 485 articles were published from Periyar University and 455 articles from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. It is pointed out that highest number of articles is published by Periyar University.
