Descripción archivística colaborativa

The Provincial Historical Archive of Zaragoza conserves amongst its fonds plenty of photographic material. Many of these images are lacked of support documentation, therefore it is a difficult process to identify persons, places and execution dates. The users’ collaboration can help solving this lack. The article describes how the use of social network and collective intelligence can contribute to the improvement of the archival description. The actions developed by the Provincial Historical Archive of Zaragoza are presented as a case study.
