Адаптогенные свойства пчелиного яда при действии экстремальных факторов различной природы

2007
We carry out experiments on rats to study adaptogenic properties of bee (Apis mellifera L.) venom under the action of such damaging factors as flash gamma-ray irradiation with the dose of 3 Gy and hypoxia. It is found that preliminary repeated injection of a nontoxical doze of the venom renders radioprotective effect and reduces the stress caused by hypoxia. It is shown that the radioprotective effect of the studied bee-venom dose is due to melittin peptide, its main component. It is believed that the revealed effects of bee venom and melittin are in many respects mediated by the development of a nonspecific adaptable reaction of activation.
