Hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma arising in the lower with cervical lymph node metastasis: Report of a case and review of literature
2014
Abstract Hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma (HCCC) is a distinct and newly categorized salivary gland lesion that manifests predominantly in minor salivary glands. Here, we present a case of HCCC arising in the lower lip. Patient is originally 27-year-old woman complaining of 2 cm mass in lower lip and she found a cervical lymph node metastasis detected 4 years after surgical intervention at the primary site. A retrospective review of the literature on cervical lymph node metastasis from HCCC indicated this neoplasm is rare and unique however not aggressive behavior in locally, requires long time follow-up.
