A Color Image Representation Method Based on Double-Rectangle NAM

In this paper, we propose a new color image representation method based on double-rectangle Non-symmetry Anti-packing pattern representation Model (NAM), which is used to reduce the number of subpatterns in image representation. The method adopts bit-plane optimization strategies at first to reduce the correlation between color image bit planes, then employ the correlation among pixels in bit planes and proceed with double rectangle NAM segmentation to decrease data storage space. Experimental results show that this method is an effective lossless color image coding method.
