Thermodynamics and phase equilibria in the Co-Ni-Mn system

Thermodynamic properties of$\beta$ and$ \gamma$phases of Co-Ni-Mn alloys were detd. by the solid electrolyte e.m.f. technique at 1000-1100 K. The appropriate Thermodynamic functions of the $\beta$ and $\gamma$ phases were determined by studying the applicability of various ternary equations to the experimental values of the system at 1050 K. The binary data necessary for these functions are assessed from the data available in the literature. The $\beta/\gamma$ phase boundaries at 1050 K were evaluated and compared with the isothermal projections from the constituent binaries.
