The invention belongs to the field of disinfectants and particularly relates to a composite bronopol complex iodine disinfectant and a preparation method thereof. The disinfectant consists of the following substances in percent by weight: 1%-10% of bronopol, 1%-20% of a synergist, 2%-3.5% of an iodine simple substance, 1%-2% of anhydrous magnesium chloride, 0.5%-5% of a stabilizer and the balance of distilled water. Compared with the prior art, the composite bronopol complex iodine disinfectant disclosed by the invention has the advantages of being lower in dosage, efficient, safe, organic pollution-resistant and good in storage stability, and is an environment-friendly livestock disinfectant.
