Relationship between golgi phosphoprotein 3 expression and Wnt/β-catenin signaling in colorectal cancer tissue

Objective To investigate the correlation between the golgi phosphoprotein 3 (Golph3) expression and the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in colorectal canecr (CRC) tissue.Methods Immunohistochemical staining of Golph3,β-catenin and Cyclin D1 was performed by the standard streptavidinperoxidase (SP) technique for the paraffin sections of 62 CRC samples.Results In the CRC tissue,the positive expression rate of Golph3,the abnormal expression rate of β-catenin and Cyclin D1 expression rate was 53.2％,69.4％ and 67.7％ respectively.the abnormal expression rate of β-catenin and the Cyclin D1 expression rate in Golph3-positive CRC tissue were significantly higher than in Golph3-negative CRC tissue (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The over-expression of Golph3 in the CRC tissue was significantly correlated with the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.
