Treatment of cutaneous kaposi sarcoma with methylaminolevulinate photodynamic therapy. a case series.

2020
Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is a well-known vascular neoplasm of infectious origin with a rising incidence since the 1980s, in accordance with the AIDS epidemic. Regarding skin involvement, many therapies have been assayed with variable success, including photodynamic therapy (PDT). This therapeutic modality has scarce evidence of success in other vascular neoplasms such as angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) and pyogenic granuloma. This report describes four cases of biopsy-proven cutaneous KS with different clinical settings showing overall good results after therapy.
