Steam turbines manufactured in Russia : Their present state and prospects for their development

The state of steam turbine manufacturing in Russia and its achievements and shortcomings are discussed. The reasons why it fell behind the new advancements of leading foreign manufacturers are analyzed. Ways for the development of new steam turbine installations are discussed.
