The invention discloses a GIS (Geographic Information System)-based street lamp facility resource operating data displaying method and system. The system comprises the following modules: a GIS module, a data processing module and a loading control module, wherein the GIS module is used for obtaining instructions, transmitting the instructions to the data processing module, receiving processed data, retrieving icon data of an icon library according to the processed data and displaying street lamp facility resource operating information; the data processing module is used for obtaining the operating instructions of the GIS module, converting to query conditional instructions, transmitting to the loading control module, obtaining the data transmitted by the loading control module and transmitting to the GIS module; and the loading control module is used for loading basic data of street lamp facility into a basic data buffer from a database through a monitoring service module in advance, loading operating data into a real-time operating data buffer and loading historical data into a historical operating data buffer. By means of the method and system which are disclosed by the invention, large amounts of street lamp facility operating information can be rapidly loaded into a street lamp facility monitoring management system and comprehensively, intuitionally, timely and appropriately displayed by utilizing the GIS.
