Individuationsprozesse in der Sozialisation junger Aussiedlerinnen. Eine biografische Fallstudie

2012
The previous empirical research on women and men emigrants has neglected the socializing milieu of the Evangelical Free Churches. Thus, how young women grow up in the communities which are described as patriarchal, and deal with the role- and life-demands with which they meet, has not previously been taken into account. On the basis of this research desideratum, the present paper portrays individuation processes in the socialization of young women emigrants, by reference to case biography. For their reconstruction, the focus on biographical process structures is relevant, in which the biography subject experiences herself as an action-capable subject. The analysis of internalized religious knowledge is central for the socialization theory interpretation of individuation process. The increased educational opportunities for girls and women are also included in the analysis.
