Guidelines on research methodology

This monograph written in Bangla clearly sets out specific guidelines of research methodologies to be used in population studies. The researcher must 1st define a hypothesis and determine the variables that need to be considered when researching this hypothesis. The method of answering the hypotheses must be evaluated and then a methodology designed. Examples of particular experimental designs are explained in the monograph. An indepth discussion of basic statistical methods is given including mean standard deviation standard error and variance. More advanced statistical evaluation is also discussed. The Bangladesh Fertility Survey Instruction Manual for Interviews to demonstrate a valid method to conduct interviews. Examples of survey types are given: enumerator-coded pre-coded write-in answer and self coded. Data evaluation and classification is described in detail.
