Rhenium complex-catalyzed allylation of acetals with allyltrimethylsilane

Abstract It was confirmed that the treatment of acetals with allyltrimethylsilane in the presence of a catalytic amount of the rhenium complex, ReBr(CO) 5 , gave the corresponding homoallylic ethers in excellent to good yields.
