Chemical quality of water and the hydrologic cycle
1987
This new resource deals with the relationship between hydrologic cycle processes and the chemistry of natural waters. Organized in four major parts: 1) Precipitation Chemistry, 2) Chemistry of Ground Waters, 3) Chemistry of Surface Waters - Nutrients and Major Constituents, and 4) Chemistry of Surface Waters - Trace Materials. Though chapters discuss results of specific lab or field exercises, which in themselves are useful to scientist, the focus is on the generality of the processes involved. This work is the result of a symposium - Conceptualized at early organization stages for publication as a book. Many illustrations of general concepts of water quality are provided in this book's cohesive organization.
