Application of seismic exploration for direct search of multilayered petroliferous oil fields, Azerbaydzhan

In a multilayered, stratigraphically controlled, tectonically undisturbed deposit of oil-gas, definite seismic expressions of the petroliferous horizons were obtained by the “method of reflected waves,” with certain adaptations. The anomalously high absorption of high-frequency waves was found to be responsible for clarity of the seismic expressions.
