The invention discloses a plant stress resistance correlative protein OsMYB2, a coding gene and application thereof. Coming from paddy rice, the protein OsMYB2 is a protein as the following a) or b): a) is a protein composed of the amino acid sequences shown in sequence 2 of a sequence table; b) is a protein that is derived from (a) and is formed from the replacement and/or deletion and/or adding of one or several amino acid residues on the amino acid sequences of sequence 2 in the sequence table, and is relevant to any of the properties of salt resistance, cold resistance and drought resistance. The protein OsMYB2 of the invention can be used to breed new varieties of stress resistant paddy rice, or be used to breed new paddy rice varieties sensitive to adversities like salt, cold and drought, etc. And the adversity sensitive new varieties can be employed as models for screening plant stress resistant genes.
