Rapid growth mechanism of graphene fabricated by high-power laser irradiation
2020
Abstract The mechanism of graphene growth under rapid growth is yet unknown, limiting the industrialization proceeding of graphene application. In this paper, the heat conduction and solute migration are researched by the real-time observation and theorical calculation for further understand the mechanism of rapid growth of graphene by high-power laser fabrication. The highest temperature is 1832 K recorded by infrared thermography and 1905 K calculated by Fourier’s second law. The carbon source is delivered in the liquid state with high diffusion rate. It only takes 3.065 s to complete the growth of graphene. This work will offer an engineering solution to fabricate high-quality and large-area graphene.
