Potencialidades educativas do desenvolvimento pelos alunos de exposições interativas sobre controvérsias sociocientíficas

This quantitative research evaluates the impact of the exhibitions developed by science students under the scope of IRRESISTIBLE project – about the Responsible Research and Innovation dimensions of socioscientific issues – on the students' perceptions about their scientific competences and science classes. A pre- and post-test questionnaire was developed, validated and applied to students from 10 countries. Statistical analysis indicates that students improved perceptions about: 1) their skills in developing exhibitions as a way of raising awareness about topics related to science, technology and society; 2) the social relevance of science classes. As a conclusion, the educational potential of this educational strategy in the teaching of Chemistry is discussed.
