Study on The Surveillance Data of Suspected Adverse Events Following Immunization in Fuzhou City in 2009

[Objective]To analyze the incidence of various adverse events following immunization(AEFI) and the operational state of Suspected AEFI Monitoring System,and provide scientific evidence for evaluation of vaccine safety.[Methods]The descriptive epidemiology was adopted to analyze the cases collected by Suspected AEFI Monitoring System in Fuzhou City.[Results]A total of 43 AEFI cases were reported including 22 eases with general reaction(51.16%),11 with abnormal reaction(25.58%),2 with coupling symptoms(4.65%) and 8 with unknown reasons(18.60%).Adverse reactions were induced by 6 kinds of vaccines,the total suspected abnormal reaction rate was 1.56/ 100 000,especially for the BCG.The most commonly reported adverse events were fever,local swelling and local induration.[Conclusion]To improve the quality of immunization services,the standardization of vaccination clinics must be strengthened,and the number of medical workers and the vaccination operation must be increased and standardized respectively.
