Keynote Speech - Can we get CCS Back on Track?

The CCS progress is lagging behind ambitions announced some years ago. While the progress in the EU is slow, there is a relative steady growth in North America. The explanation for this situation is complex and several issues have influenced this development, such as lack of political will/decision, lack of financial incentives, lack of business plan, lack of guidelines, controversies regarding the cause of observed climatic changes, lack of know-how and technology for securing safe carbon storage, other causes and/or combination of them.
