Sealing composition for liquid crystal cell, and liquid crystal display element

PURPOSE: To provide the title compsn. which enables the production of the title element excellent in durability. CONSTITUTION: The title compsn. comprises an epoxy resin component comprising 10-50wt.% triphenolmethane epoxy resin and 50-90wt.% at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a bisphenol F epoxy resin, a bisphenol A epoxy resin, and a resorcinol diglycidyl ether, a phenol novolac resin having a softening point of 75°C or lower, an inorg. filler having a mean particle size of 1μm or lower, and a silane coupling agent.
