FortheITERremotely steered (RS)EC launcher whichis designed tostabilise theNeoclassical Tearing Modes(NTM)at theq=3/2andq=2/1surfaces byinducing off-axis current drive, ahighperformance CVD torus windowwithedge cooling hasbeendesigned andmanufactured toallow off-axis transmission ofupto2MW mm-wavepowerat170GHz.Its compatibility withtheoperation parameters ofITERcooling systems wasdemonstrated anditsperformance inaremotely steered beamline (steering range: -12° to12°) wasstudied by lowpowertests which aretobecomplemented byhigh power, shortpulsetestspresently beinginitiated at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.
