Vehicle door lock assembly

A vehicle door (20), comprising: a door outer panel (22); a door inner panel (24) which is fixed to the outer door panel (22) and a door-wet cavity (26) defined therebetween, wherein the inner door panel (24) comprises an access hole (36, 236); a door trim (30) attached to the door inner panel (24) is mounted and a dry door cavity (42) defined between the door trim (30) and the inner door panel (24); a door lock (34, 134) adjacent the access hole (36) arranged in the door wet cavity (26) and between the outer door panel (22) and the inner door panel (24) is mounted; a lock latch lever (38, 138, 238) which is exposed to the dry door cavity (42) and of the door-wet cavity (26) is shielded, wherein the lock latch lever (38, 138, 238) with the door lock (34) operatively engaged stands; and a locking rod (46, 146, 246) having a first, on the key lock lever (38, 138, 238) mounted end (44), wherein the lock bar (46, 146, 246) through the access hole (36, 236) and between the inner door panel (22) and the door panel (30) toward a second end (48), the of the key lock lever (38, 138, 238) is spaced, whereby the locking bar (46, 146, 246) the door wet cavity (26) is not exposed.
