Side key assembly and electronic device with same

The invention belongs to the electronic equipment technical field and relates to a side key assembly. The side key assembly comprises a shell with a mounting hole, a key assembled in the mounting hole, and a connecting component through which the key can be connected onto the shell, wherein the connecting component is located in the shell; the connecting component comprises a main body portion which is used for bearing the key and a connecting lap edge of which one end extend outwards, wherein the connecting lap is used for connecting the shell; and an included angle between the main body portion and the connecting lap edge is converted to a reflex angle which is formed after the connecting component is assembled in the shell from an obtuse angle which is formed before the connecting component is assembled in the shell, and at the same time, the connecting component generates an elastic force which is opposite to the recessing direction of the key. The invention also discloses an electronic device with the side key assembly. According to the side key assembly of the invention, the elastic force which is generated by the deformation of the connecting component carrying the key is utilized, wherein the deformation is formed before and after the connecting component is fixed on the shell, and therefore, the gravity of the key can be effectively overcome, and the recessing of the key can be prevented. Compared with the prior art, other components are not required to be adopted, and thus, the side key assembly can assist in effectively decreasing production cost and has a practical value.
