Numerical and experimental study of Richtmyer–Meshkov instability in condensed matter

This paper considers some regularities of hydrodynamic instability growth on condensed matter's free surface with shock wave arrival at this surface. The perturbation growth process was investigated experimentally with radiography methods, as well as numerical simulation methods implemented using a Lagrangian–Eulerian technique LEGAK. The results of analytical studies of the phenomenon are presented.
