Local Information fromRange-Speed RadarSequences

2007
Radarobserves targets, buttheyremain difficult toin- terpret duetothedifficulty inanalysing theradarrange-speed se- quences. Theneedfor accurate analyses tools increases incaseofex- tended target behaviour ormultiple channel radars whichgive addi- tional observation angles. Extended targets aretargets withmultiple scatterer responses whichdisturb eachother andgive ablurred tar- getresponse. Weinvestigate heretheapproach ofdeconvoluting the range-speed response with apoint spreadfunction andinterpolate the range-speed positions togettheinner structure oftheextended tar- get. Thedeconvolution gives theindividual elements oftheextended target. Therange-speed interpolation gives accurate position infor- mation. Thepositions andadditional observation angle information aretracked withafilter Wedemonstrate theapproach withreal radar measurements.
