Corrosion prevention with an organic metal (polyaniline): corrosion test results

1999
Abstract The organic metal polyaniline (PAni) was found by us some years ago to be a powerful corrosion protection agent. The properties of the new PAni containing primer CORRPASSIV TM sealed with different top coats are characterized and compared with top coated probes using no or a conventional zinc primer. The combination of measurements of salt spray test, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and scanning Kelvin-probe (SKP) for testing the results of accelerated corrosion are presented.
