Screening,Identification and Characterization of A Cellulose-Degrading Bacterium

One strain which was capable of producing cellulase,was first isolated from wormy lemon with CMC-Na as the sole carbon source.The bacterium was identified as Bacillus subtilis by morphological and 16S rDNA sequence,and was named L13.In order to obtain the best conditions for cellulase production,the effects of temperature and initial pH value on the cellulase production were studied.The results showed that the maximum enzyme activity of CMCase reached 5.21 U·mL-1 at optimum conditions of 50℃,pH value 5.0.The results will expand the scope of the screening and application of cellulose-degrading microorganisms.
