High-resolution spectroscopy of ethylene clusters near 950 cm−1

Abstract Fine structure is observed in the infrared predissociation spectrum of ethylene dimer excited near the monomer v 7 mode. The linewidths give a lower limit to the predissociation lifetime of 10 ns.
