Primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the thyroid with bone marrow infiltration at presentation

1995
Abstract Primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the thyroid is predominantly a disorder of elderly females. Most patients present with limited disease and receive local irradiation. Presentation with advanced disease is uncommon and, consequently, bone marrow examination is not always done. We report a patient with primary thyroid lymphoma who had bone marrow infiltration at presentation and discuss the importance of this investigation in management.
