Abstract : Rugged mountains and glaciers, drift plains and fertile valleys, tumbling streams and large meandering rivers discharging into an inland sea, are a few of the many features that make up the complex land and water resources of the Puget Sound Area. A description of this natural environment as characterized through physical geography, climatology, and hydrology is presented in this, the Hydrology and Natural Environment Appendix. In this volume are summarized most of the hydrologic and climatologic data available for the Puget Sound Area at the time of the study(1966).
