Concentração proteica nos fluidos fetais como método indicador da maturidade renal de fetos caninos

2012
The fetal kidney, although immature during their development period, contributes to the fetal survival during maturation. The production of urine depends on several renal mechanisms, which are directly influenced by the volume and composition of the fetal body fluids and the availability of maternal water and electrolytes. The aim of this study was to evaluate renal maturity by identification of low molecular weight proteins and alpha-fetoprotein by electrophoresis in SDS-PAGE (12%). It was obtained 40 samples of amniotic and allantoic fluid of 16 pregnant bitches by cesarean section. The integrated optical density (IOD) of protein band with 66kDa, considered as alpha-fetoprotein, was 15.94 for the amniotic fluid and 13.3 for the allantoids fluid . Five protein bands present in the both fluids can express the renal maturity (32, 30, 28, 20 and 12). With the information and statistical data obtained in this experiment, it can be conclude that the protein concentration in amniotic and allantoids fluids is a viable indicator for evaluation of the canine renal maturity (p <0.05).
