Demonstration of a low-loss and broadband Polarization Splitter-Rotator with a Polysilicon waveguide in SOI platform

In this work, a polarization splitter-rotator in the SOI platform is demonstrated, based on the evanescent coupling to a polysilicon waveguide. The device is compact (< 30µm), low loss (< −1.5dB) and simple to fabricate.
