Statistical Aanalysis on 771 cases of Neoplasm Maxillofacial Region

Objective To investigate the incidence,constituent ratio,and the distribution of patients'age and sex of oral and maxillofacial neoplasms.Methods A total of 771 cases of benign and malignantoral maxillofacial tumors visited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of the People's hospital of xinjiang uygur autonomous region from 1960 to 2008 were studied retrospectively.Results Of the 771 patients ,44.9% had becases occurred in patients between 30 to 39 years old.The most common benign tumors were mixed tumor ,while squamouscell carcinomacomposed the main part of malignant tumors,common in the lip.Conclusion The common pathological type and patient age and sex in our hospital are similar with those of other places inside or outside the country,but the ratio of lip squamouscell carcinoma are different.
