Optical converter system (W) LEDs

The invention relates to an optical converter system for LEDs, preferably so-called (W) LEDs, and a process for producing a said optical converter system. The modular optical converter system comprises an inorganic converter for conversion of the light emitted from the LED radiation, an inorganic optical element, preferably comprising glass, which is arranged downstream of the converter in the emission direction of the LED, wherein the converter and the first optical element at least against one another in sections, and connected. The optical converter system has a temperature resistance which is higher than the known in the prior art systems. In addition, the preferred components of the system are substantially UV-resistant and chemically resistant.
