Suicidal behaviour in Singapore

The author examines the phenomenon of suicide in Singapore. Data are presented on suicide in Singapore from 1894 to 1977 trends in suicide by sex and age methods of suicide employed and factors affecting suicide. Variations in suicide rates by ethnic groups are also analyzed and comparisons are made with suicide rates in other Asian countries (ANNOTATION)
