In the method, both a transmission characteristic between first and second antenna, in particular by means of a reference antenna, determined and used also used as a dependency of a transferred between first and second antenna signal from the location of the second antenna. The positioning system is constructed for positioning an electric vehicle relative to a charging station, in particular according to the method.
