Total condylar prosthesis.

1982
SUMMARY An extensive experience with the total condylar knee prosthesis has demonstrated that it is an effective device in the management of advanced arthritic conditions of the knee. Because of its versatility, most knees with severe deformity and significant bone loss can be treated with this metal on-plastic semi-constrained knee system. As a result, the total condylar prosthesis has greatly reduced the need for more constrained prostheses that necessitate greater bone resection and impart higher stresses to the bone-cement interface.
