Heterofobia-Universalidad, nacionalismo-ciudadanía. El pensamiento de Fernando Savater sobre la cuestión nacional

espanolActualmente vemos un resurgimiento del problema del nacionalismo que ha intentado verse resuelto con diversas soluciones: multiculturalismo, federalismo o, en el caso extremo, la independencia. Para Fernando Savater a fuerza de apelar a la defensa de la diversidad se ha terminado por defender la desigualdad. El presente articulo trata dicotomias presentes en la cuestion nacional tratadas por Savater como heterofobia-universalidad, ciudadania-democracia, pertenencia-participacion. Nuestro autor defiende un individualismo de origen ilustrado que es opuesto a toda idea colectiva de nacion y que se sustenta en una concepcion de nacion fuerte centrada en la defensa de la ciudadania. La respuesta al nacionalismo viene dada en Savater mediante un normativismo individualista etico centrado en ley, pacto, Constitucion y Estado. Se trata de buscar un minimo comun compartido, centrado en la reciprocidad del dialogo racional y el discurso ilustrado que es la salvaguarda frente al nacionalismo, el fundamentalismo o el racismo. EnglishCurrently we attend the resurgence of the problem of nationalism that tried solved with different solutions: multiculturalism, federalism or, in the extreme case, independence. Fernando Savater says that appeling to the defense of diversity it has ended up defending inequality. This article deals with dichotomies present in the national question treated by Savater as heterophobia-universality, citizenship- democracy, belonging-participation. Our author defends a illustrated individualism that is opposed to any collective idea of nation and is based on a conception of strong nation and defense of citizenship. The answer to nationalism is given in Savater trough an ethical individualistic normativism centered in law, Constitution and State. It is about looking for a shared minimum common, focused on the reciprocity of rational dialogue and the enlightened discouse that is the safeguard against nationalism, fundamentalism or racism.
