Material and Methods We use for this research different types of hydrogel and siloxano hydrogel contact lens of common wear at the moment. We use a permeometer manufactured by us, originating from designs found in the literature. The principle is dilution of ultra pure water through the contact lens at standard temperature and pressure. Discussion The results are in an absolute and comparative way for the analyzed lenses. Conclusion The necessity of a continuous renovation of the lacrimal film under the lens indicates that the material should allow an appropriate passage of water, mainly for its renovation in the cases of permanent wear of the lens.
