L'integrazione con vanadio delle razioni per suini all'ingrasso

2003
The Authors refer the results of researches about the use of vanadium in the feeding of heavy pigs (slaughter weight 160 Kg). Vanadium added to mixed feeds as oxide (V: 55%), at the doses of 5 and 10 p.p.m. for the entire cycle, has improved the weight gain (resp. 7,00% and 11,00%), the feed gain ratio (resp. 7,00% and 12,00%), the carcass (resp. 2,60% and 3,20%), ham (resp. 10,00% and 11,00%), shoulder ham (resp. 21,00% and 26,00%) and loin yield (resp. 9,50% and 11,00%), the cooling (resp. -18,00% and -20,00%) and trimming losses of ham (resp. - 14,00% and - 18,00%), the meat digestibility (resp + 4,00% and + 8,00% of digestible protein after in vitro pepsinic digestion) and tenderness (resp. - 22,00% and - 45,00% of connective tissue after in vitro tripsinic digestion). In conclusion the Authors suggest the use of vanadium at the dose of 10 p.p.m. to mixed.
