Итоги акклиматизации ондатры (Ondatra zibeticus) в Якутии

Having been acclimatized in the 1930s the muskrat successfully entered the fauna of Yakutia, repopulating all habitats suitable for the species. Later it was found that the burrowing animal activity adversely affects on the state of alas biogeocenoses in the zone of permafrost, destroying the shoreline and provoking the increase of thermokarst processes in areas close to water habitats.
