Progression of studies on transforming growth factor-β1 in neoplasm

In the development and invasion of neoplasm, the interaction between multiple cytokines and signaling pathways are involved and formed a signaling network. Transforming growth factor-β1 is one of the most important components, and is highly expressed in a variety of neoplasm disease and plays an important role in the development of neoplasm disease. Therefore, the transforming growth factor-β1 is of a great significance to neoplasm disease therapy, which has been the focus of recent years. This review summarizes the structures and functions, signaling pathways and recent advances in the study on neoplasm growth of transforming growth factor-β1.
