Monitoring of Drug-resistance of Pulmonary Infection Caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Center ICU

2010
OBJECTIVE To study the Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in ICU to provide basis for clinical therapy.METHODS The clinical data of ICU patients with P.aeruginosa infection were analyzed in 2008.RESULTS All patients were with hospital-acquired pneumonia, most of them with other pathogens grown.Antibiotic sensitivity test showed that drug resistance of bacteria was high.THe predisposing factors included old age(72.3%),with underying diseases(87.9%),long hospitalization time(100%),overuse of broad-spectrum antibiotics(62.1%)and mechanical ventilation(100%).CONCLUSIONS P.aeruginosa infection is one of the common nosocomial infections,The Multidrug resistance of the isolates of P.aeruginosa is serious,The treatment can be selected for amikacin and ciprofloxacin. The reduced susceptibility to carbapenems(including imipenem and meropenem) in P.aeruginosa should be paid attention.
